Josselyn believes in the power of community. Our support groups aim to create an inclusive, diverse, compassionate, and welcoming space for individuals across our community to connect, share stories, and learn from others with similar experiences. All without stigma or judgement.

Family

Purpose – To create a space for parents with adult children living with a mental health diagnosis

  • Participant Details – Open to anyone who has an adult child living with a mental health diagnosis
  • Date & Time – Meets via Zoom on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, 5-6:30 pm

Connect With Us

LGBTQIA+ Teen

Purpose – To create a safe, non-judgmental space for adolescents who identify as LGBTQIA+ to explore their identity, obtain valuable information, receive emotional support, and develop self-esteem

  • Participant Details – Open to current Josselyn clients, age 12-17 years old
  • Date & Time – Meets via Zoom on alternating Thursdays, 5-6:30 pm
  • Framework – Each session will start with a general check in. The co-leaders will then present the day’s topic, possibly accompanied by a brief presentation, activity, or prompt. After which, the group will be allowed to share freely how the presented topic relates to their lives or beliefs

Parents & Guardians of Josselyn Clients

Purpose – To create a supportive, psychoeducational group where members will learn about the therapeutic process, share their questions and concerns, connect with one another, and learn how to best support their child’s work in therapy

  • Participant Details – Open to parents or guardians of teens (13-18) who are receiving services at Josselyn
  • Date & Time – Meets via Zoom on Monday evenings at 6 pm, September 13 through November 15
  • Framework – Each session will begin with a check in. Each week, the co-leaders will present the week’s topic, with the help of a text, video, or prompt. Group members will then have time for open discussion on the weekly topic, facilitated by the co-leaders
