Share and Receive Support Alongside Peers

Purpose

A follow-up to Camp Neeka’s summer 2024 season that will review skills learned during Camp. Group will teach CBT skills and use relational tools to build connection and feel seen by the community.

  • Participant Details – Open to children age 13-16 who have attended Camp Neeka
  • Date & Time – Meets at Josselyn Northbrook (1135 Skokie Boulevard Northbrook, IL 60062 in the Floor 3 Playroom) at 6 pm on alternating Mondays
  • Framework – Group will begin with a check-in (5 minutes). Group facilitator will then begin with a weekly skill introduced by a ‘Focus Question.’ Participants will be encouraged to share their feelings around the weekly topic and participate in an activity that practices their learning around the skill (35 minutes). Participants will then regroup to debrief about how the activity felt and what emotions may have come up (10 minutes). Group ends with a clean-up session (10 minutes).
