When Medication Is Needed

Psychiatry

Mental health care can be a positive step toward recovery and Josselyn can help.

We believe in a holistic approach to mental health care that combines both therapy and, when necessary, psychiatry or medication management. Josselyn’s team of medical doctors and advanced practice psychiatric nurse practitioners partner with your therapist to provide the best course of care for you.

Mental health care can be a positive step toward recovery and Josselyn can help.

We believe in a holistic approach to mental health care that combines both therapy and, when necessary, psychiatry or medication management. How Does It Work?

  • Prior to receiving psychiatric care, clients must complete two therapy appointments at Josselyn. Psychiatry clients at Josselyn must be connected with another service, such as therapy or case management
  • Your therapist will make a referral to our psychiatric team, who will contact you to schedule an intake appointment
  • Appointments are available in-person or via telehealth

Psychiatry Policies

  • Initial evaluations with your psychiatric provider must be in person
  • At the psychiatric intake appointment, you will need to provide a list of your current medications from your pharmacy
  • Psychiatry clients must see their Josselyn therapist at least once a month
  • Psychiatry clients must meet with a Josselyn psychiatrist at least every 3 months
