Open Studio Art Therapy Group

Share and Receive Support Alongside Peers

Purpose

In this group, clients will have opportunities to reflect, connect, and gain insights while building resilience and self-awareness through creative expression in a group environment.

  • Participant Details – Open to Josselyn clients age 18+. Participants should be open to artistic expression and desire therapeutic exploration in a communal environment.
  • Date & Time – Meets Thursdays, 6-7pm, in the Art Room at 1850 Oak, Northfield
  • Framework – With input from group members, group leaders will process a weekly therapeutic theme with discussion questions to be used as artmaking prompts. Clients will be given space to work with whatever art medium they are drawn to. While artmaking, clients will have the space to discuss the weekly themes, any events in their life they want to process, and any other topic that may arise. The group will come together to share their artwork and process/debrief as a collective on the weekly themes.
  • Facilitator – Hannah Kaplan, MA, ATR-P, (She/Her/Hers) & Cortney Behmer (She/Her/Hers)
