Grayslake Open Studio for High Schoolers
Share and Receive Support Alongside Peers
Purpose
To provide a safe space for adolescents looking to increase their sense of community, self-expression, self-confidence, and utilize art as a coping skill.
- Participant Details – Open to current high school students or adolescents entering high school.
- Date & Time – Meets Mondays 6 – 7pm, at Josselyn (100 North Atkinson Road, Grayslake, IL 60030)
- Framework – Open Studio works under the “art-as-therapy approach,” which utilizes the artistic processes and creative products as the focus to the therapeutic work and interventions with healing benefits. It utilizes the artistic creation and is supplemented by the scaffolding and nonjudgmental space to guide therapeutic growth.
