Adult Grief and Loss Group

Share and Receive Support Alongside Peers

Purpose

To create a safe and non-judgmental space for adults who are grieving loved ones. Participants will collectively process grief, learn about the grieving process, and develop coping skills to move toward healing

  • Participant Details – Open to Josselyn clients age 18+ who are actively grieving the loss of a loved one, such as a family member or a friend, and who are interested in processing their grief among other adults experiencing similar loss
  • Date & Time – Meets Thursdays (biweekly) starting August 1,     7 pm – 8 pm am via Zoom
  • Framework – Group will begin with a check-in or self-reflection exercise related to grief and loss. Group Facilitators will open the space for discussion around recent struggles related to grief and loss, and mental health. Group facilitators will offer tools, coping skills, strategies, and psychoeducation related to group members’ identified topics. Group members will have the opportunity to share how the identified topics relate to their lives. Group will end with a summary and check-out.
