Name: Mary Womsley

Relationship To Josselyn: President of the Auxiliary Board and Board of Directors Member

What draws you to Josselyn’s mission?
I have seen firsthand the effect that lack of mental health care has a person and a family. Our country (and the world at large) has always sought to hide mental health issues. In addition, our insurance companies have made the need for support through prescription drugs a shameful request by paying less than they would for all other medications.

What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Never give up on what you believe in, despite what others might tell you. Help those that you know can use it. Smile.

If you had to teach a class today on one topic, what would you teach?
I think I would teach a class on ownership and empathy. Owning our decisions, our story and our life is key to growth. Empathy allows us to see others and be seen.

What is something you’ve always wanted to do but haven’t done yet?
Write a novel!

What fictional family would you be a member of?
I would probably have to choose the Weasley’s. You know there would be magic involved on a daily basis. Mix that with fun potions and I’m excited about each day!

Describe your dream day in 6 words.
Spring skiing with family in Jackson Hole.

Would you rather have the power of invisibility or flight? And why?
Flight! I would love to be able to see everything from above…especially the traffic I’m no longer sitting in!
