This May, during Mental Health Awareness Month, Josselyn’s Spring Luncheons raised more than $125,000 to support mental health care for children and teens.

Attendees heard directly from clinicians Ashley Prakash, MS, LCSW, and Charity Williams-Hadley, LCSW, whose work is transforming the lives of children and families through play therapy.

Their stories highlighted both the urgent need for youth mental health services and the impact of compassionate care. One especially memorable story centered on a kindergartener who had been suspended from school 13 times before receiving the support needed. Stories like these underscore the importance of accessible mental health care and the dedicated clinicians who make it possible.

More information about Josselyn’s work, along with insights from Ashley and Charity, can be found in the Play Therapy: FAQs and Practical Strategies resource sheet.

If you couldn’t attend, or if you would still like to make an impact, there are many ways to stay involved:

  • Make a gift to help expand access to life-changing mental health care for children, teens, and families.
  • Learn more about joining the Josselyn Auxiliary Board, the dedicated group that coordinated the boutique shopping experience and created the beautiful centerpieces at our luncheons. Email Joanna Soukoulis for additional information.
  • Save the date for a special milestone celebration: Josselyn’s 75th Anniversary celebration, Cocktails for a Cause, taking place on October 21 at the Glen View Club.

Thank you again for being part of the Josselyn community and for helping ensure that mental health care remains accessible to all who need it.
