Josselyn is pleased to announce Louis Kraus, M.D., has joined the organization as Medical Director. Dr. Kraus has been a valued collaborator, volunteering his expertise since 2015, and the team at Josselyn is excited to officially welcome him to the staff.

Josselyn offers psychiatry services, which will be Dr. Kraus’s area of focus, which complements its therapy, case management, supported employment, and specialized youth mental health programming.
In addition to his new role at Josselyn, Dr. Kraus serves as the Women’s Board Professor and Division Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center. He is also the Founding Director of the Rush Autism Assessment, Research, and Treatment Services Center (AARTS). Dr. Kraus is board certified in child and adolescent, forensic, and general psychiatry, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organization.
Dr. Kraus completed his general psychiatric residency at Northwestern University, followed by a child and adolescent fellowship at the University of Chicago. Since 2002, he has been the Division Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Kraus has focused on the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. He is particularly passionate about working as an expert within school systems across various contexts and venues. Dr. Kraus also has significant experience in forensic psychiatry, primarily focusing on civil defense work, advocacy, juvenile delinquency, and ensuring appropriate services for children. In addition to his professional endeavors, he maintains a small clinical practice in Northbrook.
