Cocktails for a Cause Raises More Than $500,000 for Mental Health Services

More than $500,000 (and counting!) was raised at Cocktails for a Cause, making Josselyn’s 75th anniversary celebration one for the record books. On October 21, more than 200 supporters gathered at the Glen View Club for Josselyn’s signature fall fundraiser. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of sponsors, donors, and guests, the event surpassed its fundraising goal and is the most successful fundraiser in Josselyn’s history, all in support of accessible mental health care.

The evening honored 75 years of impact, reflecting on the vision of Dr. Irene Josselyn and the organization’s enduring commitment to ensuring that everyone has access to quality mental health care, regardless of their ability to pay. What began as a small community resource in 1951 has grown into a leading provider of mental health services, serving thousands of children, adults, and families each year throughout Cook and Lake Counties.

Honorary Co-Chairs Liz and Kent Dauten helped make the evening especially meaningful as Kent shared their passion for expanding access to mental health care and their belief in the power of community investment.

“This milestone year reminds us how far we’ve come and how much work still lies ahead,” said Josselyn CEO and President Susan Resko. “For 75 years, our community has come together to support mental health care for all. The generosity shown at Cocktails for a Cause ensures that we can continue providing compassionate, accessible care to everyone who walks through our doors.

Help us keep the momentum going. Make a gift to help ensure more people can access quality, comprehensive mental health care. Donate today and help us build on 75 years of impact.
