Parenting Young Children Group

Build Skills, Share, and Receive Support Alongside Peers

Purpose

To create a safe, non-judgmental space for those who are parenting young children. Parents will share and receive information, build a support network, and develop confidence in their parenting skills. Parents will learn strategies and coping skills to effectively address challenges they encounter and walk away with tools to achieve emotional regulation for themselves and their children.

  • Participant Details – Open to Josselyn clients who are parenting young children, ages 3-9. Parents of Josselyn clients may complete an intake to become a group member.
  • Date & Time – Meets via Zoom on Mondays, 6 pm
  • Framework – Each session will begin with a general check in. The facilitator and participants will discuss topics that are relevant to parenting young children each week. Group members will be able to share their experiences and learn from other parents and receive psychoeducation by the facilitator who is a Josselyn therapist and has over 7 years of experience as a teacher. The session will end with a summary and check-out.
