Developing Identity in the Wake of Childhood Trauma

Share and Receive Support Alongside Peers

Purpose

To create a process group for adults seeking connection and sense of self after experiencing trauma in childhood.

  • Participant Details – Open to Josselyn clients in their 20s and 30s who are dealing with isolation, depression, anxiety, and symptoms of PTSD and/or CPTSD. Age range can be expanded based on client interest.
  • Date & Time – Meets via Zoom on Thursdays, 6:30 pm
  • Framework – Group will begin with a check-in, during which group members can share how they’re feeling, any needs that they have, and ask for time to talk about what’s on their mind. If a member asks for time, they can offer a share, after which participants will be encouraged to offer feedback, thoughts and feelings, per member’s stated needs. If no members wish to ask for time, a weekly topic will be provided. Group will end with a summary and check-out.
  • Facilitator – Erin Shea Brady, LSW
