Social Emotional Learning Consultant Program

Guiding Students, Supporting Educators, and Engaging Families

Josselyn’s Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Consultant Program offers an innovative, holistic approach to promoting student and school well-being.

By partnering with school districts, the program supports the social-emotional health of both students and staff through evidence-based practices. This approach enhances academic performance, improves behavior, and fosters overall development.

About Josselyn’s SEL Program

Implementation

Josselyn hires, trains, and supervises a dedicated professional who is fully integrated into your school community.

With expertise in both education and mental health, our team members understand the unique challenges schools face and serve as collaborative thought partners to support student and staff well-being.

Methods and Practices

The SEL Consultant is embedded within the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), providing Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions for identified students. Using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, SEL Consultants incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and art therapy to deliver individualized support that meets the diverse needs of students.

Holistic Approach

SEL Consultants also provide training and coaching for teachers, staff, and families.

This support helps build a strong, collaborative network and a consistent approach that fosters ongoing care and a deeper understanding of students’ social-emotional development.

Testimonials

Since 2023, Josselyn’s SEL program has served more than 600 students. Read about some of their experiences below.
