Buffalo Grove Pride Parade
Are you ready for a fun Sunday? Plan on joining Team Josselyn as we participate in the Buffalo Grove Pride Parade on Sunday, June 5. We will have a large truck decked out with Josselyn brand, music, and some truly fun giveaways for the crowd… and of course candy. LOTS of candy. Register to attend here.
Additionally, we will enter names of Josselyn parade participants in a drawing for Old Navy pride t-shirts, thanks to a donation from a Josselyn friend.
This is the largest suburban, family friendly pride parade in the region. Bring your friends and family and help spread the word about Josselyn to people along the parade route. Truly… the more the merrier in this case… except for our furry 4-legged friends. No dogs are allowed on the parade route.
Can we aim for 100 Josselyn representatives hyping up the crowd and sharing our vision of Mental health for all?
All parade walkers and participants who are not actually driving a vehicle in the parade will park at the Golf Dome (801 McHenry Road). BG Pride will provide five buses to carry everyone from this lot to the staging area. The buses will run a continuous loop from 9 AM to 10:30 AM. PLEASE carpool; there are about 2,000 participants all needing to get to the staging area. Participants can also be dropped off at the staging area. Our parade entry is D19.
Let’s plan to have all Josselyn participants there by 10 AM. Parade organizers have said there is music and a party atmosphere before things even formally kickoff. The parade officially begins at 11 AM and takes about 75 minutes to complete.
The parade path ends at Buffalo Grove Park District’s Pride Picnic with food, entertainment, and much more. The picnic goes until 2:30 and we are invited to continue the celebration there. Let’s make a strong showing for Josselyn, wear our rainbow gear, and have a ton of fun together!
