To provide a safe space for members to learn how trauma affects them holistically, how to identify trauma symptoms, and learn about tools and resources to better manage and cope with symptoms and process trauma
- Participant Details – Open to adults (age 18+) who seek healing from depression and anxiety, including somatic symptoms, from trauma, grief, and loss
- Date & Time – Meets Thursdays at 3 pm via Zoom. Group dates: March 2 – April 6, 2023
- Framework – Sessions will include both psychoeducation and skills/interventions. Facilitators will provide information on how trauma affects the body and use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness (including mindfulness-based breathing and grounding techniques), as well as storytelling, self-reflection, and brief journaling prompts (including gratitude journaling and unsent letters, and drawing on the senses) to incorporate mindfulness to focus on the present moment and to reframe difficult experiences.
