Mission

The Josselyn Center knows the spectrum of mental health is deep and varied. So are our clients. And so are our services.

Our mission, though, is laser sharp:

The Josselyn Center’s mission is to provide mental health services that make lives better for our clients, their families and the community.

We pursue this by:

  1. Providing outpatient psychiatric services, family and individual counseling, case management, and referral services that are affordable and available on a sliding fee scale
  2. Being a source of reliable information and effective advocacy for issues and conditions which promote healthy development; and
  3. Participating with other not-for-profit organizations, local governments, and schools in collaborative efforts to benefit the general community.

Mental Health For Clients

We have guided tens of thousands of individuals through their mental health journey. From home visits by case managers to our Drop-In-Center in Northfield, we are here for you. Learn about our wide array of services.

Hope For Families

Mental illness affects the whole family. It can push every limit, exhaust even the strongest, and devastate relationships. We’ve been there. We’re here to help. Learn more.

Healing For Communities

We work to decrease stigma, to educate and inspire, and to be there before the point of crisis. It costs a fraction of what it would to care for people otherwise. Moreover, it is the compassionate, supportive answer for our neighbors and friends. Learn about our community outreach programs.

Building for Mental Health

Our $3 million campaign will ensure The Josselyn Center can support those in need for the next 50 years and beyond. But only if we all help.

Accessible, Compassionate Space

Providing accessibility and a warm, inviting and healing space

The Josselyn Center is a 50 year-old, split-level building in need of an elevator, wider hallways, updated bathrooms and refreshed client space.

Innovative Programs

Expanding services to meet client needs

Our community needs crisis response, increased psychiatric services and expressive therapies (art, music, etc.).

Secure Future

Growing our reserves

Government funding and reimbursements are perpetually in jeopardy. We need sufficient reserves to ensure we can survive unexpected cuts in funding and delays in payment.
