Group Services

Our group services allow people with similar problems to come together to express their concerns, identify solutions, and celebrate successes. Services are staffed by licensed professionals employed by The Josselyn Center.

Family Support Group

The Family Support Group provides an opportunity for parents of adults struggling with mental illness to meet and provide support for each other. This group routinely addresses concerns such as:

  • Acceptance of the limitations their adult children may have
  • Tangible issues such as housing, healthcare, estate planning and any issues raised by members of the group
  • Self care for parents who often act as caregivers

Women in Midlife Transition is a support group for women of all ages focusing on relationships, family, life transitions, and more. The group is led by a licensed clinician from The Josselyn Center and provides an open forum to discuss the impact of common occurrences such as:

  • Divorce
  • Children leaving home
  • Retirement
  • Aging parents
  • Death of a spouse
