CLR DROP-IN CENTER FOR ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS

Location: 130 N. Waukegan Rd. Deerfield, IL. 60015;

Lower Level, Ste. 102

Phone: (847) 940-8400

Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs 5-9 pm; Fri 4-7pm; Sun 11am-3pm

$2 donation requested per visit to cover cost of snacks and/or lunch

 

VOCATIONAL TESTING

Mondays 7-9 pm at the CLR Drop-In Center

THERAPY, SUPPORT, AND PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL GROUPS AT JOSSELYN CENTER:

Please note:  Groups can change at any given time.  Please call the Intake Department for more information on any group listed.

 

Family Support Group

2nd and 4th Thursdays, 6:30 - 8:00pm

Support for parents of adults struggling with mental illness.

 

Integrated Dual-Diagnosis (MISA) Group

Mondays, 3:30 - 4:30pm

Psycho-educational, therapeutic support group for adults struggling with both emotional and substance abuse problems.

 

Welcoming Change Group

Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm, beginning March 9, 2011

The group will meet for 8 sessions - Must join by March 16th

$10 fee per session

Discuss current issues related to transitional periods in your life.  We will focus on identifying possible causes of stress, stress management, and work towards developing health coping skills for daily living.

Group is open to males and females ages 18-25.

 

Boys:  Build on Your Strengths

Mondays  6:00-7:30pm

For boys 10-13.  Focuses on managing difficult emotions and developing social skills.

 

Searching for Work Managing the Challenge - Men’s Group

Thursdays 10:00am-11:30am

Psycho-educational therapeutic group for men who are looking for work.  Learn how to be more accepting of yourself, find new ways to relax, and discover a path to finding work that is right for you.

 

Coping with Stress & Managing Emotions

Wednesdays 6:00-7:30pm

Skills and support to become empowered to better respond to life's challenges and take control of emotions.

 

Women in Midlife Transition

Wednesdays 1:00-2:30pm

Support group for women of all ages focusing on relationships, family, life transitions, and more.

 

Job Club

Mondays 5:30-6:30pm

Support and skill-building group for adults working toward finding & maintaining a job.

Art Group for Adults

Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm

Focuses on self expression & self discovery through various mediums of art.

Foundations for Wellness

The Josselyn Center is now offering school and community-based classes for children and adolescents to promote wellness and prevention.  Topics include:  Peer Pressure; Bullying and Cliques; Self-Advocacy; Internet Safety and Cyber-Bullying; Diversity Appreciation, Body Image and Self-Esteem, and much, much more.  For information, please call the Intake Department at (847) 441-5600 x 156
