The Josselyn Center celebrates its 60th Wow!! What a time we had! The Josselyn Center celebrated its 60th anniversary of offering community-based outpatient mental health programs and services with a benefit held on September 24, 2011 at The Arts Club of Chicago. The dining room was filled with attendees enjoying a great dinner and hearing remarks from the Honorary Chair of this event, Michael Shamberg, renowned Academy Award nominee producer of such films as "The Big Chill" (1983), "A Fish Called Wanda" (1988), "Reality Bites" (1994), "Pulp Fiction" (1994), "Get Shorty" (1995), "Erin Brockovich" (2000), "Along Came Polly" (2004), "Garden State" (2004), "World Trade Center" (2006) and his current film "Contagion". Guests were treated to a performance by Joseph Jefferson Award winner E. Faye Butler, whose fabulous cabaret act rocked the house. The event raised $120,000 for our agency's programs and services, making it one of the most successful in our 60 year history. Thanks to our Benefit Chair and Board Member Mary Mages and all of our incredibly hard working Benefit Committee Members and volunteers for working more than a year to make this happen. A special thanks to Honorary Trustee and Benefit Committee Member Jackie Waldstein whose sponsorship of us at The Arts Club made this possible. The extraordinary outpouring of support that we received in honor of our 60th anniversary from donors and attendees made all of the volunteers hard work and effort so much more meaningful. We are grateful to everyone who supported our 60th Anniversary Celebration. Click on each thumbnail below for larger view, and use arrows to move slideshow
